- Meet the Teacher/Parent Meeting is Wednesday, Aug. 28 for Mon/Wed children; Thursday, Aug. 29 for Tues/Thurs children.
- Walkers - Toddler 2 will meet at 9:30 AM and Preschool - Pre-K will meet at 11:00 AM. If you have children in both levels, please come to the later meeting.
- Please bring a completed student information form with you the day of the meeting. You can download the form from the church website: www.franklinchristianchurch.com - click on the Shining Light link and look for the tab labeled "Students currently registered for fall". The form is two pages.
- September tuition is due August 15th. You may pay online on the church website or mail a check to my attention to the church address: Franklin Christian Church, Attn: Joni Myers, 4040 Murfreesboro Rd., Franklin, TN 37067.
- If you would like to set up for checks to be mailed directly from your bank each month, please make sure that you memo it to Shining Light so your check is not confused with our general offering. This creates all kinds of problems :)
- Our nursery class has a new name! This class will now be called "Walkers" to more accurately reflect the children in there. Here are some reminders for those parents whose child is going into the Walkers class:
- 1. Children need to be off the bottle and drinking from a sippy cup.
- 2. Children need to be eating finger foods and feeding themselves.
- 3. Children must be able to nap one time per day. They will go down for a nap around 11:45 AM. You will need to purchase a nap mat for nap time. We prefer the red/blue plastic ones that you can find at Walmart or Target. You can bring a king size pillowcase or custom cover for the mat in addition to pacifiers, blankets or stuffed animals that they need to help them nap.
- 4. Please keep in mind that there are 12 children in the Walkers class with three teachers. If you child needs to be rocked in order to go to sleep, it will be difficult for one teacher to stop helping with the other children and rock your child. Please help us by working with them now, so that by September, they will be ready!
- 5. September is always a transition month for these little guys, and we have awesome teachers working with them. If you can help us with #1 - #4, it will make for a smoother transition for your child!
