Also, the $100 registration/supply fee for fall is due by May 2nd.  After that date, we will remove names to make room for waiting list applicants.

Kely Fouraker will be in foyer area with registration sheets Wednesday, May 2 and Thursday, May 3 during morning drop-off time.

Reminders

• Scholastic orders are due by April 28.
• Hot Wheels and Hairbows collection will end Tuesday, May 1st.
• Registration fees for fall 2012 are due no later than May 2nd.

Teacher appreciation week is May 7-10.  Thank your child's teachers for the love, care and teaching that they've given this year.  Send a note, picture, flower, sweets, lunch(!), or something thoughtful to show how much they are appreciated!

Hot Wheels and Hairbows

Just a quick note that we would like to have new Hot Wheels and Hairbows rather than used ones.  Those little ones in the Dominican love being able to unwrap a new package - a special treat for them.  Thanks so much!

MISCELLANEOUS INFO

• There is a stomach bug going around MDO.  Several of our teachers have had it as well as a few of the children.  It can have high fever, vomiting and diarrhea - just fair warning.
• Pre-K "graduation" pictures will be taken Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Please dress your child accordingly as this picture will be part of our Pre-K graduation presentation in the sanctuary.
• Reminder that we are collecting Hairbows and Hotwheels in the month of April to send to the Dominican Republic this summer.
• Spring Program/Pre-K graduation times:  5/15 - 9:45 - 10:40 AM 5/16 - 9:45 - 10:30 AM.  Our last day of MDO is 5/17.  

FAMILY SPRING FESTIVAL

Don't forget that Sunday, April 15 is our Family Spring Festival at FCC from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate one more day, and we can all enjoy this beautiful sunshine!  There will be free hot dogs, hamburgers, and other assorted treats along with games and inflatables for the kids.  Playground will be open too.  Everything is absolutely free, and we would love to have you come join us!


Parents with children ages 4 and older can also sign up for VBS while there.  VBS will be June 4-7 this year.

Hot Wheels and Hairbows

Information was sent home about a spring project that we are doing at FCC MDO.  Our Spanish teacher Ms. Kassie will be teaching a VBS this summer in the Dominican Republic.  They plan to give out Hot Wheels and Hairbows to the children who attend.  We have a bin in the foyer where we will be collecting items through the end of April.  FYI - Ms. Maria found Hot Wheels as inexpensive as 69 cents at Kroger this week!

Tuition and Registration/Supply

For the vast majority of you, April 15th will be your last tuition payment.  If you began FCC MDO in August, then you paid one month ahead; therefore, you are paid in full after the April 15th payment.


If you began FCC MDO after August 2011, and you are not sure whether you owe for May, please contact Kely Fouraker at mdorecords@franklinchristianchurch.com.  She will be able to tell you if you still owe for a month.


And please remember that May 2 is the deadline for registration/supply fee for the 2012-13 school.  After May 2 we will need to remove names in order to make room for those on the waiting list.  We can only do registration fees by check this time instead of using PayPal.

Scholastic Info and Pre-K Info

Scholastic order forms went home today and will tomorrow.  They did not send us enough catalogues, so if you did not receive one, please check them out online at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs.  The code to order is on the right hand side of the blog.


Last date to order for the year is April 28th!  If you order online, we receive a free book for every parent order placed, so we encourage you to order that way.

Pre-K parents!  We are going to take "graduation" pictures on April 18 and 19.  We will take one picture outside and one in cap and gown.  Please dress your child the way that you would like to see him/her on the big screen during Pre-K graduation!  

Reminder to everyone - Spring Program and Pre-K graduation is Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 16.  We WILL have MDO on May 17th!  

Playground Info

The new playground is completed and ready to use!  I think the weather will cooperate most of the week, so the children should have great fun breaking it in!

• Please have your child wear tennis shoes - NO FLIPFLOPS or other footwear that could prove problematic on a mulch surface and climbing apparatus.
• Please pack a lightweight jacket in case the days are cool.
• Please coat your child with a layer of sunscreen as the playground is in direct sun.

Easter Services at FCC

Franklin Christian Church would like to invite you to attend our Easter services this Sunday, April 8.  We will have three service times:  8:00 AM (infant care only), 9:15 AM (classes for children) and 10:45 AM (classes for children).  If you have never attended FCC before, you may enter through the MDO doors and sign-in for children's Sunday school classes before heading upstairs for adult service.
