Daily Scripture

In the same way, let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.

This and That

I had the privilege of teaching chapel on Tuesday of this week for Ms. Kellie.  I have to tell you that I was so impressed with the behavior of the children and amazed at what they are learning.  Ms. Maria and Ms. Kellie are just doing an awesome job with the children.  PLEASE ask your children to tell you the Fruit of the Spirit!  They can do it - motions too!  And Toddler 1 parents - those little guys are wonderful during their chapel time!  They are sharp too!

Fire Safety Day went well.  The toddler classes did not go through the Fire Safety House but Mr. Ronnie did come to their room and they practiced what to do in case of a fire - stop, drop and roll.  He also told them never to hide from the fireman if he came to their house, but that they were there to help!  The Preschool and Pre-K classes did go through the house and some even went down the safety ladder.  Such brave children, and we all cheered as they climbed down into Mr. Ronnie's arms!  I will post a couple of pictures on the blog soon.  We also conducted a real fire drill and MDO was completely out of the building and safe in two minutes.  We think that we impressed Mr. Ronnie!

Our next Fire Safety Day will be Tuesday, November 15th.

We will be sending home info about our Christmas Project beginning tomorrow.  Our goal is to help three ways:  the world, our community and MDO.  We are asking each family to contribute $10 ($5 will go to World Vision to purchase a farm animal - $5 will go to The Well in Spring Hill to purchase Christmas toys for those less fortunate in our community) and then we are asking each child to purchase a $5 book (wrapped) to exchange with one of his/her classmates at our Christmas party on December 14 or 15.

Make plans now to attend our Christmas Musical Program.  Ms. Maria has a special music event planned; Ms. Kassie will showcase the children's Spanish skills, and I promise to have a great slideshow/video clips of activities that we've done this fall.  Mon/Wed program will be Wednesday, December 14 and Tues/Thurs will be December 15.  The program will begin around 9:30 and last approximately 45 minutes.  The children will then have their Christmas parties downstairs afterwards.  Your child's class will send home specific details about their planned party.

Thank you parents for raising such sweet and wonderful children!
