MEET OUR STAFF

I would like to introduce you all to our staff for the 2011-12 year.  Let's begin with our Specials Teachers for Music, Chapel and Spanish.

Maria Schatz teaches our music classes as well as our chapel music.  She is also the creator/director of our Christmas and Spring programs. She is married to Ryan and proud "mom' to a Westie named Murphy.  Maria has a degree in fine arts and taught Kindermusik for eight years.  She has been a part of MDO since it began in the fall of 2006.  She thoroughly enjoys singing, dancing, and making music with the kids!  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, crafting and Zumba!  Maria and Ryan attend Rolling Hills Community Church.

Kellie Johnson teaches our Chapel lessons this year and works in each classroom helping the children with memory verses and reviewing the Bible lesson.  Kellie was formerly one of our Pre-K teachers and is currently working on her Masters in Education.  She is married to Greg and they have three children, Libby, Jessica and James.  Kellie enjoys crafting, interior decorating, and movies.  She and Greg have been members at FCC for many years and she is a favorite Sunday school teacher here.

Kassie Marte teaches Spanish for us at MDO and has returned this month from maternity leave.  She and her husband Melchor now have four children.  Kassie has lived on and off as a missionary in the Dominican Republic where she met and married her husband.  They are currently building a house in the Dominican in order to continue their mission work.  Kassie loves to invent recipes and try them out on her family.  Kassie has been a member of Franklin Christian Church since she was just a little girl.
