Thank you, parents for coming in today to pay tuition and fill out forms. As you can tell, it is a pretty labor intensive endeavor. This was our first year to try it this way, and I know it will make our Meet the Teacher/Parent Meeting go much more smoothly week after next. And it was good to see you all again! You also saw Ms. Kely and Ms. Maria today who will be my right hand with administrative tasks this year. Feel free to ask them questions in addition to coming to me.
And we will be there again tomorrow for those who couldn't make it today: 9:00 -11:00 AM.

Tuition Fees
Thanks so much to a parent who asked a great question about tuition payments. Please always feel free to ask because we are always working to improve the way we operate and communicate around MDO!
Thursday or Friday (18th/19th), please come by to pay first month tuition and fill out forms. We will be set up in the downstairs MDO area.
Thursday - 11:00 - 1:00
Friday - 9:00 - 11:00
Tuition schedule is as follows:
ONE DAY/ONE CHILD: $50 registration fee (already pd.); $30 supply fee/year; $75 tuition/month
ONE DAY/TWO CHILDREN: $100 registration fee (already pd.); $60 supply fee/year; $150 tuition/month
TWO DAYS/ONE CHILD: $50 registration fee (already pd.); $50 supply fee/year; $150 tuition/month
TWO DAYS/TWO CHILDREN: $100 registration fee (already pd.); $100 supply fee/year; $280 tuition/month
TWO DAYS/THREE CHILDREN: $150 registration fee (already pd.); $150 supply fee/year; $380 tuition/month
The supply fee is for the entire year and covers the cost of a tote bag, t-shirt, snacks, craft supplies and special events throughout the year.
Make all checks payable to Franklin Christian Church. We hope to have Paypal set up soon for more convenience, but until then we will only be able to take checks or cash.

Save those empty ink cartridges!
We will have two ongoing events that will bring a little money into our MDO coffers this year. One will be Kroger cards that we will explain at the beginning of the semester, and the other is collecting empty inkjet cartridges.
Please do not throw away your old ink cartridges when you remove them from your printer! Put them in a plastic baggie and bring them to MDO! Staples allows each teacher to turn in 10 per month and receive a $20 coupon voucher. This allows them to buy extra supplies of things that they would like for their classroom. One example is Ms. Kim and Ms. Jen's Pre-K class last year as they used their coupons to purchase Dr. Seuss stickers and visors for their class. Our teachers also love card stock paper for doing crafts, and at $16 per pack, a coupon voucher really helps!

What You Need to Bring
I probably should have sent this sooner before tax free weekend, but hopefully no one rushed out and bought anything today!
For those of you who are new to MDO, a nice size tote bag will be provided to you with your supply fee payment. This year we ordered name tags for the bags also. We find that the tote bags make it easier for hanging up on the hooks in our room and for teachers locating items in them than all sorts and sizes of backpacks, totes, bags, etc. So please do not go out and purchase a special backpack!
You will, however, need a lunch container of some sort to pack your child's lunch in. You will also want to send some type of sippy cup if you don't want to do a juice box.
Nursery, Toddler 1 and Toddler 2 will need nap mats. Please purchase the red/blue ones rather than the blue/green ones. Walmart has them right now for under $8.
