Muffins with Moms
Just a reminder that Muffins with Moms will be this Wednesday the 17th  and Thursday the 18th. This will be a fun time to talk with teachers, other moms, and visit your child's classroom. We will begin at 9:00 am!

Kroger Cards

Help support Shining Light with Kroger Community Rewards!

Kroger has recently changed the way that organizations can raise funds through their Kroger Community Rewards program. In the past, you had to "load" a Kroger gift card with money, and then use that to make purchases with. They have simplified the process, by allowing customers to earn money for an organization by simply using their Kroger Plus Cards each time they shop.

Here's how you can enroll your Kroger Plus Card in the program, and designate Shining Light as the recipient:

2. Scroll down to find you location and click "Enroll Now"
3. Sign in to your online account, or create an account (you must have an online Kroger account on their website to enroll your Kroger Plus Card).
4. Find and select FCC/Shining Light under "Organization". Search for "Shining Light" or enter our organization number "62179"
5. Click "Save"

If you don't currently have a Kroger Plus Card, you can apply for one right there on the site. Just click "Get a Digital Plus Card online today" where it says "Add Card".

You'll start earning rewards for our organization right away on qualifying purchases made using your Kroger Plus Card!

Bridge Construction
  • Franklin Christian will be beginning construction on a new bridge that connect the larger parking lot to the small one adjacent to the entrance to the preschool. 
  • We have been told that this construction will begin on Monday. 
  • During construction, you will only be able to access and exit the small parking lot via Hwy 96.  In the mornings, this can be difficult.  If you choose to park in the larger parking lot, you can use the pedestrian bridge to enter the building.  It is a further walk, but probably the safest option.
  • Car lane begins the first week of October.  All parents are encouraged to take advantage of this service.  The traffic flow is outlined on the flyer in your child's folder.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss this with the teachers.
