Wednesday and Thursday we will have a visit from the Fire Department! It should be a fun day for the children. Mr. Smithson plans to wear his uniform and gear, so please prepare your children in case it might seem a little intimidating to them.
April's tuition for May is past due after Thursday (25th). Please add $15 late payment if paying after the 25th. For the majority of you, this will be your last payment for the year.
Some explanation about end of year - the last day for Tues/Thurs will be May 16th. When Wms. Co. moved up the end date, it moved all classroom parties and end of year events to the 21st. When figuring the calendar last year I had left the 23rd as a day for my teachers to attend their children's class parties, etc. They rarely get to attend events during the year, so this is a way to give back to them. Unfortunately, Wms. Co. kind of messed me up! I also realize that the Mon/Wed program sometimes gets short-changed with Monday holidays, so I wanted to give them the 20th as their last day. It is sometimes hard as a director to make everyone happy :)
I checked our Kroger balance and we are just $30 shy of a payout! Please, please, please go Krogering this weekend! (and use your Shining Light card!)
We would like to also make a push for one last big Scholastic book order. Think about those long, hot summer months when sitting in an air-conditioned room reading a good book with your child would be just the ticket...make sure you have some good books on hand!
