Well, in the 17 years that I have lived in Williamson County, I have never heard of them doing this, but the school system has stockpiled days and are voting Monday night to determine whether they will end the school year two days earlier than planned (21st rather than 23rd). I will let you know how this affects our end of year as soon as the vote is final.
This week is Safety Week at school. We have a guest speaker from the Sheriff's Department coming in on Wednesday and Thursday to talk to the children. We will be discussing what to do if you get separated from mom and dad someplace, and stranger safety. Of course, we will do this in an age-appropriate manner! The children are also watching a kid-friendly video on Stranger Safety. This would be a good week to open up a discussion with your child about staying safe. Ask your teachers if you would like more details on what we discussed.
