I received quite a few requests lately for the songs that we are currently learning in Chapel so I thought I would share these with you all. I must say that your children have just been so sweet with their singing and excitement during Chapel time! It is delightful to witness them praise with all their hearts!
Nursery and Toddler 1
We are learning all about how wonderfully God made us. We have talked about our hands, feet, mouth, and eyes and also how God created love. We have learned how to sign "God", ask them to show you, they know it! They also know how to sign "Love". We are learning that God gave us the Bible and that we are to take good care of His Holy word. Some of the songs we sing are "God is so Good", "My God is so Big, (Strong & Mighty)", "The B-I-B-L-E", and "What a Mighty God we Serve!"
Toddler 2 through Pre-K
Most of the songs can be found online at www.iTunes.com or www.janaalayra.com. If you have any questions or trouble locating them, please let me know. I am happy to see how I can help out.
"Absolutely Nothin'", "He is God", "Rain or Pour", "Fixin' My Eyes", "I Will Fight this Fight" are by Jana Alayra, from her "Jump Into the Light", "Dig Down Deep", and "Believin' On" albums.
"Great Big God" the one I use is from a Children's Church recording done by a church in KY. You can find many other similar versions on iTunes. I like the Kids Vineyard Worship version.
"Love of Jesus" is by Tony Salerno from a cd called, "Scripture Songs for Children". I believe it is out of print.
Also, ask your children how many books are in the Bible, how many testaments are in the Bible, and how many books in the old and new testaments. They have also learned a BIG word, Pentateuch. (The first five books of the Old Testament.) They are SO smart!!! They are such great listeners and it is amazing to see how well they are "getting it" each week as we review. If you haven't yet, ask about all of the secret treasures they have learned and the stories that go along with each one.
