Come out and help out one of our MDO families by supporting their foundation. The CooperTrooper Foundation supports families dealing with childhood cancer. It was started by the Cooks whose son Cooper is in Ms. Betsy and Ms. Laurel's class. Cooper is a cancer survivor, and the family is reaching out to help other families who are dealing with childhood cancer especially for those siblings who are sometimes overlooked. You can find out more about their cause at www.coopertrooper.org.
They have a pumpkin patch this month at the corner of Mallory Station and Cool Springs Blvd (in front of the Walgreens). There will be pumpkins for sale as well as children's activities. All proceeds will benefit the CooperTrooper Foundation.
DATES: October 8 - 31
TIMES: Tuesday through Friday - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturdays 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM (children's activities)
Sundays 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (children's activities)
The Cooks could also use some volunteer help! If you would like to give a few hours to help unload pumpkins this coming Saturday, they promise to feed you! The trucks will be arriving with thousands of pumpkins and they will need to be unloaded! All help would be greatly appreciated! If you are looking for ways to "give back" in this community, this would be a wonderful way.
And if you want to buy a pumpkin from Ms. Joni, come see me out there on Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. I'll help you pick out a good one!
