Daily Scripture

In the same way, let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.

NURSERY, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL

As we get ready for another school year in a couple of months, I want to remind parents of a few things you may want to work on over the summer.

Nursery - nursery children will take only one nap and will do so on a nap mat.  Plastic nap mats can be purchased at Walmart (red/blue ones), and you can find covers online.  You can also simply use a blanket or king size pillowcase if you want a cover.  The children begin going down for a nap around 11:30 - 11:45 each day.  Please be sure and LABEL everything that goes in your tote bag each day.  They are too young to tell us what belongs to them!

Toddlers - Toddler 1 & 2 will also go down for a nap around noon.  They will also use nap mats.  Please label everything also - especially sippy cups.

Preschool - children in the Preschool classes (3-4 years) need to be potty-trained if at all possible.  There are no diaper changing facilities in the Preschool classrooms.  If your child is still training, please have them wear pull-ups and pack extras.  At least one extra change of clothing is important to have on hand at this age.  The easiest way is to pack extra outfits in a gallon size baggie and label the outside of the bag with your child's name.

Please check back on the blog periodically for more tips to help get ready for the year!
