UPDATES

Nice to see the sun this morning compared to yesterday! I spent much of the day studying cloud formations, and the children spent a little while safely tucked into our blue room and green room. The back of our downstairs area is 30 feet underground so it should be a safe spot for all our children and teachers in the event of severe weather. We apologize for not having car lane, but we felt that we should not have parents parking all the way across the creek in the heavy rain.

Many thanks to those who helped out at the bake sale the last two weekends. The Cooper Trooper Foundation did very well monetarily as well as getting the word out about their cause. We made $234 for our playground fund, and thank you for making or bringing baked items to help us out. Thanks go to Angela Davis, Lizanne Speligene, Marcy Cookingham, Pam Bush, Sri Alapati, and Kim Combs for manning the table last Saturday. Thanks also to my own dear husband who brought tables, cooler, and supplies and helped set up and then came back to load up while I enjoyed being out of town!

Don't forget tomorrow is costume day with a big costume parade after chapel time. Be sure and read any notes sent home about what your child's class plans to do for the party. Some are ordering pizza and some are bringing food in. You should have received an e-mail or note in your child's folder. We will be sure and take plenty of pictures that day, and I plan to get them uploaded onto the blog this weekend.

Make plans to come to FCC Fall Fest on Saturday! Lots of fun, food, prizes, and games! Many of us from MDO will be there. Fun starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM. Have your little one dress in costume!

***weird thing to tack on at the end but nursery parents, please make sure you have packed enough diapers to get through the day. Please pack at least three each day. Thanks!
