The Cooks have been at MDO for several years now. Colby is in Pre-K and Cooper is in Toddler 1. When Cooper was just a few months old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. They spent the next year in a very tough battle and during that time realized the toll that the battle takes on the siblings in the family.
That's how the Cooper Trooper Foundation began. This foundation raises money for care packages for families dealing with cancer with an emphasis on sibling "care" during this difficult time. For more detailed information about the foundation, please visit www.coopertrooper.org.
The Cooper Trooper Foundation is hosting a pumpkin patch this year. They will be located on the corner of Mallory Lane and Cool Springs Boulevard in front of the Walgreens. The patch will be open October 10 - 31st. Not only will there be pumpkins and baked goods, but there are plans for children's activities as well.
MDO will host a bake sale two Saturdays (October 16 and 23 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM). We are asking parents to consider manning the table for an hour or so and to provide baked goods for the sale. Monies raised will go to MDO. We have divided the dates up into two sections (October 16 - Preschool and Pre-K; October 23 - Nursery and Toddlers).
Specific information will be available this Thursday. Please consider helping out both the Cooper Trooper Foundation and FCC Mother's Day Out by participating on one of those two Saturdays! MANY THANKS!
