Daily Scripture

In the same way, let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.

Car Lane and Field Day

Apologies again about car lane! We discovered about twenty cars already in the parking lot a little before 8:00 AM this morning. It turned out to be census training (our church is used for government activities such as elections, etc.), and they are meeting this whole week. They are supposed to park elsewhere on Thursday; however, you know how that goes. If the orange cones aren't out, you know we can't do it.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, this miscommunication led to a discussion of elections. We discovered that there is an election being held at the church next Tuesday, May 4th. Yes, on our Field Day....
We made the decision that it would NOT be a good idea to have people coming to vote, entering and exiting our parking lot and building while our children played outside. BTW: we keep the doors locked and direct voters to walk through the parking lot to the youth auditorium at the top of the hill.

So Field Day will now be Thursday, May 6th. I know many of you responded that you could help out on Tuesday, and Haley Reasons will be contacting you to see if you can help out on Thursday instead. We cannot make Field Day work unless we have parent volunteers, so you are very important! We have some fun activities planned that day, and we are praying for good weather.

And once again, I LOVE OUR TEACHERS who just smile at me and go with the flow :)

Remember also: Tuesday, May 18th - Spring Program and Pre-K graduation - access to sanctuary at 9:45 AM with program beginning at 10:00 AM. The Nursery is planning a special program earlier that morning and more information will be sent to the Nursery parents about that. Pre-K parents are invited to come downstairs for a little party after the ceremony.

Don't forget - Pre-K $10 for cap and gown - checks made payable to FCC.
