Daily Scripture

In the same way, let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.

SNOW DAYS

I know that there is some frustration with the number of snow days that we have had so far this year. We are in the process of trying to work on some make-up days; however, I would like to quickly share with you some of our obstacles.

1. We cannot override Wms. Co. and go despite closing. Many of our teachers have elementary age children who are out as well, and we do not have the room or the manpower to watch that many extra children. Some of our teachers, as well as myself, live in areas where the roads are more difficult to navigate if there is ice.

2. We are attempting to schedule two Mondays as make-up days; however, we have several teachers who work at other jobs on Mondays and some who go to graduate school which make it impossible for them to come in on a Monday. On Wednesdays we have MOPS at FCC and on Fridays the building is cleaned for Sunday services.

3. We are ultimately both a business and a ministry and as such have expenses. Our expenses are due whether we are in attendance or not. Our budget is based on FCC MDO being at capacity student-wise and to reduce tuition affects our budget. Oftentimes we don't realize the expenses involved in running the program.

If at all possible, we will try to do some make-up days. I wanted to let you know that I have been working on it, and my teachers are very supportive. If we can overcome some of the obstacles, we will let you know!

ENJOY THE WARM WEATHER NOW!
