We wanted to let you know that there was a confirmed case of strep throat and one of chicken pox at MDO this week. Because of chapel and the classes being together or in the recess room(with the exception of Nursery), we wanted to make sure you knew. Both cases were in the Toddler 1 and 2 rooms.
My understanding is that if your child has had the chicken pox vaccine, they can still get chicken pox. It will just be a milder case. Low-grade fever and small blister-like bumps will appear. If it's a light case, they may only have a few blisters (look in hair line, back, stomach, neck and legs).
