Just a reminder that we will be closed for Fall Break on Monday October 19th but we will be open on Friday October 23rd.

Keep buying those Scholastic Books! We are earning lots of free books and prizes for our classrooms. 

Fall Parties and Costume Parade will be October 28th and 29th. Please have your child dress in kid friendly costumes. 

Save the Date: November 12th Chick Fil A Spirit Night at the Coolsprings location. More details coming soon! 

Just a reminder that Shining Light's hours of operation are 9 am to 2 pm. Children picked up after 2:10 pm are considered late. As stated in our parent handbook, if parents are continuously late a fee of $1 per minute will be applied. You will receive an email to let you know how much you will need to add to your tuition check. 

Lucky Ladd Pre-K Field Trip Information:

• Our Field Trips are October 14th and 15th and we will leave the school promptly at 9:30 am.  Please have your child in their room by 9:10 even if you are planning on driving them.
• Children need to be in closed toed shoes and their blue Shining Light t-shirts.
• Parents and children will need a brown bag lunch and a throw away drink. 
• Please apply sunscreen to your child before school.

Fall Parties will be October 28th and 29th. We will have our Costume Parade on that day too. Kid Friendly costumes only please. 

We will be closed on October 19th for Fall break but will be open on October 23rd for a make up day. 

Car Lane will begin on Monday October 5th at 9:00 am. Please check your child's folder or your parent handbook for directions. We ask that you leave your child buckled in their seat, if you can help it please do not be on your cell phone, and if you are walking your child in please park in the lot off of Clovercroft. 

Spoiled Rotten Photography Portraits should have been emailed to you this week. Orders are due by October 7.

Our toddler 2 teacher Mrs. Katrina will be going to Guatemala for a mission trip. We will be collecting items for her to take gift bags with her. The information should have been in your weekly email and a flyer was sent home this week. The class that collects the most items will win a pizza party.

Just a reminder that tuition is due on the 15th of each month. The monthly rate is $175.00 for 1 child and $325.00 for 2 children.

We had several Scholastic orders last time and we were able to get lots of free items. Keep the orders coming!

All of the classes will be collecting $1 for little pumpkins to decorate during our Fall Parties on October 28th and 29th. Please send in your $1 by October 1st. We will also have our costume parade on this day. Please no scary costumes!!

Pre-K will be headed to Lucky Ladd for our Field Trip on October 14th and 15th. Please send in your child's permission slip with money by October 1st. You will also need to let your teacher know if you plan to drive your child or let them ride the Church shuttle. 

Shining Light News

• Please be sure to send in immunization records and sign up for Remind 101.

Spoiled Rotten Photography will be here September 21st through the 24th. You will have to sign up for your child to have their pictures and they will not disappoint! The link is provided in your teacher email.

We hope that your child had a wonderful first week at Shining Light! We enjoyed having them and look forward to the year ahead. Here are a few reminders for the upcoming weeks...

1. Please send in your immunization records if you have not done so.
2. Please make your 1st months tuition payment if you have not done so.
3. We are closed on September 7th for Labor Day.
4. Register your Kroger Plus cards!
5. The Scholastic catalogs are on the front desk. This is a great fundraiser for the school and when you buy books for home we earn free items for the classrooms. We will place our first order in September!
