We hope everyone has enjoyed the first 3 weeks of school. All of the kids are starting to adjust and we are so excited to have them!! Just a few announcements...

• Car Lane will begin on Monday! Please review your car lane instructions from the handbook. If you will not be using car lane please park in the parking lot off of Clovercroft and walk over the pedestrian bridge. Please do not park or enter the lot on Murfreesboro Road!! We will have cones out to help you navigate your way. 

• Spoiled Rotten Photography will be here September 19-22. The pictures are amazing and you will be so pleased. If you want your child's picture taken please visit the Spoiled Rotten Website and Sign up by the 14th. Flyers went home in the folders this week. 

• Keep those Scholastic orders coming!! We were able to get lots of new books for the school from the last order. 

We hope everyone had a wonderful first day of school! We are looking forward to getting to know all of our friends.

Spring Program/Graduation is May 16th and 17th at 9:30 am. Pre-K families will have a graduation reception downstairs following the program. 

First Summer Payment is due on May 15th if your child is attending summer school. 

• Please check your email to see how you can help make our Teacher Appreciation week a huge success! 
• Please remember to follow the car lane rules. This is to keep all of our children and teachers safe. 

1. Please leave all children buckled in, we will unbuckle them.
2. Please put your car in park and do not switch gears until you are flagged to move forward.
3. Please stay off of cell phone during car lane.

• Save the date: May 16th and 17th will be our Spring Program and Pre-K Graduation. We will have a reception for the Pre-K parents following graduation.

Don't forget that tonight is Spirit Night at Chuck E. Cheese from 5-8! We would love to see our families there. When you buy your food and tokens at the counter be sure to tell them you are with Shining Light.

Next week is Campus Candids with Spoiled Rotten Photography! Be sure to check your class email to let you know what day your child's picture will be taken.

Spirit Night at Chuck E. Cheese is April 7th from 5-8! We would love to see all of our families there!! 

Muffins with Moms is April 13th and 14th at 9:00 am. The walker class does not participate in this activity. We would love to see our moms come enjoy muffins at our tea party!

Campus Candids is a unique program where the photographers capture your kids on  campus -- no studio backdrop, no fuss, no hassle! Just Fun!

Dressing for Campus Candids: The setting for your portrait will vary greatly depending on your schools facilities. The best bet is to send your child in clothes you love! Bright colors and patterns are great, but if you want more of a classic look, avoid crazy patterns! Solids and small prints always photograph well.  

You will have at least 3 poses to choose from, and portrait purchases are made online. We will provide Spoiled Rotten Photography with your e-mail address so they may contact you with your log-in to view your portraits. They have a strict no-spam, no-sell, no-share policy when it comes to your e-mail address. If you would NOT like for us to give them your e-mail address please let the office know by April 30th.

Thank you to all of the parents that donated items for the baskets for our community helpers this week! They were so appreciative and worked so well with your kids.

Dear Parents,

Per our parent handbook it states that we will follow Williamson County Schools schedule and snow days will not be made up. However, as a courtesy to our families we are happy to say we will be open on Friday, January 29th to make up for Monday, January 25th. 

We will continue with Donuts with Dad on Wednesday the 27th and Thursday the 28th at 9 am. Due to all of the snow days many classes were not able to complete our projects for our Dad's. These will be sent home later this week! Please remember to dress up in your favorite team jersey or shirt!

New Safety Measures at Shining Light...

In November our Pastor announced that FCC would be obtaining safety personnel  for our weekend Church services. FCC has been generous enough to do the same thing for Shining Light. Beginning on January 11th you and your children will see a uniformed officer (Williamson County Sheriffs Department) on site during Shining Light hours. This is a proactive move because we value the safety and security of every individual at Shining Light.

Registration for Summer 2015 and Fall 2016 will begin for families that already attend Shining Light on January 11th. A registration form and fee is due for each child for the Fall semester. The registration forms for summer and Fall are on the website or  can be picked up at the front desk. We will open registration up to the public beginning February 1st. 

Donuts with Dad Is January 27th and 28th for Toddler 1 through Pre-K. We are doing a sports theme so wear your favorite team jersey or shirt.

If you have not paid your December 15th tuition please do so ASAP. We will begin sending out late notices next week! 

Reminder: Please pay tuition this week before we leave for Christmas break. Tuition for 1 child is $175.00 and for 2 children it is $325.00.

Christmas programs this week on Wednesday and Thursday. Doors will open at 9:30 and the program starts at 9:45. Please have your child dressed in their pajamas and in their room no later than 9:10. 

We will be closed for the Christmas holidays December 21st until January 11th. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 

Save the Date: Christmas Program December 16th and 17th the doors will open at 9:30 and the program will begin at 9:45. The kids will need to wear Christmas Pajamas and be in their classroom by 9:10. There will not be car lane on the program days. 

Thank you for your angel tree donations! We are going to have lots of happy kids on Christmas day. 

Please remember tuition is due on the 15th of each month. If you have not paid for November 15th please do so ASAP. 

Christmas break is December 21st through January 7th. The first day back will be January 11th. 

Registration for Fall of 2016 will begin in January!
